It’s been a little while since my last blog post and I’m in procrastination mode, so here’s a little update on what The Adventurers (and I) have been up to!

The Adventurers and the Temple of Treasure* has been out for almost two months; have you read it yet? A couple of readers have told me they read it in one go; I’d be very interested to hear what you and your family thought of my second book (and if you have a couple of minutes to spare I’d be grateful if you would consider leaving a review!)

On Saturday 20th July I spent the afternoon at WHSmith in Bluewater signing copies of both Adventurers books. It was a fantastic day, I very much enjoyed meeting all the children and families and talking to them about their summer holiday plans and favourite reads. I also sold more books than I ever have in one day before and I’m so grateful to Philippa and her wonderful team at WHSmith Bluewater and to everyone who stopped by to see me on the day!

Last month I recorded an interview with fellow indie author KC Hunter for his Wonderfully Weird Podcast, we talked a lot about the world of independent publishing. I have had a few messages from those of you who want to know more on this subject; keep an eye on my Facebook author page for a link to have a listen very soon.

A big thank you also goes to Sevenoaks CommunityAd for featuring me in issue 5 of their magazine on pages 24 and 25! There’s a chance to win a signed copy of both of my books over on the CommunityAd Facebook page – a winner will be selected at random on 29th August.

This month I’ll be cracking on with The Adventurers 3 and hopefully another writing project I’ve had on the backburner for a while. I’ll be closing out the month at Hastings LitFest on Saturday 31st August.

That’s all for now, hope everyone is having an amazing summer! Here’s a picture from my WHSmith event with Cassie!
